Banana Bread

Whole Wheat Banana Bread

One of the post popular sweet breads is Banana Bread . 
Don’t we all hate when some bananas go ripe so quick. It’s best to make banana bread then. 


  • 1 cup all purpose whole wheat flour 
  • 1/2 cup all purpose white flour 
  • 1 tsp of baking soda 
  • 1/2 tsp of salt 
  • 3 ripe bananas (mashed) 
  • 1/4 cup of milk 
  • 1 stick or 1/2 cup soft unsalted butter 
  • 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract 
  • 3/4 cup of brown sugar or raw sugar 
  • 1 egg 
  • 1 cup of chopped pecans or walnuts 

🍌Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
🍌Grease the loaf pan with butter or layer with butter paper. 
🍌Sift together all the flours, salt , baking soda and set aside . 
🍌Mash the bananas with fork . Add milk and set aside the mixture. 
🍌Now add in a clean bowl or electric mixture add butter , cream the butter then add eggs one by one. Add vanilla extract and sugar. 
Beat well, then add the banana mixture . 
🍌Now slowing add the flour mixture in. Remove the bowl from the mixture and stir gently nuts . 
🍌Pour in to the pan and smooth the top . 
🍌Bake for 50 to 55 minutes until the cake tester comes out clean and dry. 
🍌Let it cool for 20 minutes . 

Cut thick slice and enjoy with tea or coffee and with some butter or honey.
